Upon studying the matter, it would appear to me that this condition of a circuit is adding another energy source based, not on a location in space, but on the elasticity of time. This elasticity is derived from the sum of two displacement values: a forward displacement of current leading voltage and a backwards displacement of current lagging voltage yielding a net displacement of zero.

How is time conserved, here?
Or, in the alternative: can time be conserved at all?
